Stratio Acceptable Use Policy

Effective Date: October 23, 2020

This Acceptable Use Policy constitutes a part of your agreement with us and is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Any terms not defined in this Acceptable Use Policy will have the meanings set forth in the Terms of Service between you and Stratio. In accordance with this Acceptable Use Policy, you agree not to (and not to allow or encourage any third party to) misuse or attempt to misuse the Services, or use the Services for any illegal purpose, including, but not limited to, by:

  • using any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the Services;
  • breaching or circumventing any security or authentication measures;
  • submitting or distributing viruses, worms, Trojan horses, corrupted files or other destructive content;
  • interfering with, testing the vulnerability of, tampering with, or disrupting any part of the Services;
  • selling, transferring, or renting of the Services to customers, clients or other third parties, either directly or as part of a service or product created for resale, without the express consent in writing from Stratio;
  • hacking;
  • intercepting or examining the content of messages, files or communications in transit on a data network;
  • sending any unsolicited, unauthorized, or forged advertising, promotional materials, email, junk mail, spam, chain letters or other forms of solicitation;
  • accessing illegally or without authorization computers, accounts, equipment or networks belonging to another party, or attempting to penetrate/circumvent security measures of another system, including any activity that may be used as a precursor to an attempted system penetration;
  • making unauthorized copies of proprietary software, or offering unauthorized copies of proprietary software to others;
  • submitting or transmitting misleading, inaccurate, or fraudulent data or information;
  • submitting or transmitting any content, or otherwise engaging in any activity that infringes, misappropriates, or violates a third party’s intellectual property rights, or rights of publicity or privacy;
  • using Stratio’s name, trademark, logo or design features without Stratio’s express consent;
  • transferring any technology, software, or other materials in violation of applicable export laws and regulations;
  • violating Export Controls;
  • using the Services for high bandwidth operations, such as large file transfers and media sharing with peer-to-peer programs;
  • submitting or transmitting any content that promotes or condones hatred or bigotry against any person or group of people based on race, ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other core characteristic, or which is otherwise objectionable (as determined by Stratio in its sole discretion);
  • collecting or storing personally identifiable information from third parties without their express permission;
  • sharing your API Key(s), password(s), user ID(s) or account information with third parties, or otherwise using the Services for the benefit of any third party or in any manner not permitted by the Terms;
  • using, displaying, mirroring, or framing the Services, without Stratio’s express consent;
  • altering or modifying the Hardware;
  • using, installing, or de-installing the Hardware in a way that does not substantially conform with instruction manuals, user guides, and other information and Documentation;
  • tampering with, abusing, improperly maintaining, or intentionally or negligently damaging the Hardware, including by connecting Hardware to an improper voltage supply;
  • using Hardware other than for its purpose or outside of the ordinary course of business;
  • using Hardware with accessories or third-party devices, without Stratio’s express consent;
  • violating any applicable laws or regulations in any way;
  • facilitating a violation of the Terms or this Acceptable Use Policy.
